Gila Spring 2018 Open House

The Gila National Forest invites you to a Forest Plan Community Open House!

The Gila National Forest will be soon releasing a preliminary draft plan for feedback as part of the Forest Plan Revision process.  This preliminary draft plan reflects your input and describes the strategic direction for management of forest resources.  The Gila National Forest highly encourages feedback on the preliminary draft plan and participation moving forward.

What is the purpose of these community open houses?

  • Create understanding of preliminary plan direction with posters and Forest Service staff available for dialogue
  • Discuss the preliminary draft plan direction with Forest Service staff and any further ideas for revising the Forest Plan
  • Keep stakeholders informed and involved in the forest plan revision effort
  • Strengthen links between the Forest and nearby residents, users, and interested parties
